Description
Français : Château d'Aigne à Iteuil (86).

Dominant la vallée du Clain une quinzaine de km au sud de Poitiers, il sort de terre mi-XVe, bâti par la famille de Vivonne. Toujours entre des mains locales, on le trouve ensuite en alternance sous les seigneurs de Lusignan.

Cette propriété privée, certes impressionnante et visible de loin perchée sur son promontoire, a toutefois subi de nombreuses transformations au cours des siècles, édulcorant grandement l'authenticité de son caractère...

La commune recèle d'autres ouvrages valant un coup d'oeil, comme le château de la Gruzalière au sud.
