English: Challow railway station (site), Oxfordshire Opened in 1840 by the Great Western Railway on the line from Reading to Swindon, this station closed to passengers in 1964 and completely in 1965. After quadrupling, the two platforms were parallel to the outside tracks - see SU3590 : Remains of Challow station. View west towards Uffington and Swindon, a few years before the line was electrified. |
