Description
English: Chapel Gate. The same wooden gate as shown in 187715 but viewed from the other direction looking into the Edale valley. The landslipped hill on the far side of the valley behind the sheep is Broadlee Bank Tor (SK110856). "Gate" is a local name for a moorland track (see also Doctor's Gate near Glossop, Cut Gate near Langsett in South Yorkshire).
