Description
English: New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina:

Charity Hospital on Tulane Avenue.

Inscription on one of two visitors lounges at entrance to the Hospital; when the Hospital was new in 1938 they read respectively "White Visitors" and "Colored Visitors"; the color designations were chipped off from the inscriptions after the end of legal segregation in Louisiana.

It has been announced that due to severe damage to the building, the hospital will not reopen, and the building is expected to be demolished.
