Summary edit

Description On the front of the Tour de l'Horloge, Boulevard du Palais, this magnificent clock has just been restored. The first public clock in Paris, it was commissioned by Charles V in 1371 to Henri de Vic, watchmaker from Lorraine. Restored in 1585 under Henry III, Germain Pilon refit it including sculptures around the dial.
