Summary edit

Description was the name given by the Apollo 10 astronauts to this , the command module from the second manned mission to orbit the moon. (for the record the LM was called Snoopy and I look forward to it taking its place alongside this CM!). The underside of the capsule reveals the scorched and charred heatsheild that converted the 24,000 mph re-entry speed into frictional heat to slow the capsule for landing.
