Summary edit

Description

This building was part of developer Henry Mandel's Chelsea Corners project, an ambitious plan to create a white-collar community along Seventh Avenue. Launched c. 1930, Mandel's project was a casualty of the Great Depression; only four of the intended 17 buildings were ever realized. This one is at the corner of Seventh Avenue and 15th Street.
