In the early 1920s, Redmond-area children rode to school on wooden-bodied buses built by students in the district's manual training classes. Each vehicle carried about 90 children who sat on four long benches which ran along the length of the bus. This photo shows a line of students boarding a school bus near Redmond, Washington. Judging by the license plate on the bus, the photo was probably taken in 1921.
