| Description |
English: Chiltern Queens. Chiltern Queens was a small Berkshire bus company providing services to the rural communities. They were well known for using older vehicles with a preference for AEC types. The coaches were turned out in green as in this photo, whilst the buses were painted red - see 857625 for an example. The company finally succumbed to mounting losses in 2002. BMK344A is seen at Reading station on an dull July day. It is an AEC Reliance with Duple Commander bodywork and is 17 years old. It looks in better shape than the driver who seems to have caught a cold. |
