Description
Italiano: Sandstone slab with casts of mudcracks and trace fossil species Chirotherium barthii on its lower surface, on display in the Natural History Museum (Goldfuß-Museum), Bonn University, Germany. This slab belongs to the original material from the Chirotherium Sandstone Member of the Solling Formation of the Middle Buntsandstein of Hildburghausen, Thuringia, Germany, based on which this ichnospecies was first described scientifically in 1835 (first scientific desciption of a tetrapod trace fossil ever).[1]
