Summary edit

Description
English: Chocolate pot, Silver, Lille, France, 1779 V&A Museum no. 16-1963 This pot is characteristically rococo, with its dramatic swirling decoration. The handle of the pot is straight and made of wood. This made it easier to pick up the pot as wood does not conduct as much heat as silver.
