Fürst Leopold III. Friedrich Franz v. Anhalt-Dessau (1740-1817) im Alter von 16 Jahren von links in preußischer Uniform und übergelegten Brustpanzer. Er steht vor einem angedeuteten Zelt, das die Szene als Feldlager charakterisiert, mit der linken Hand am Degen, die rechte Hand auf den Helm gelegt, der links vom Dargestellten auf einem Hermelinmantel liegt. Das Bild entstand wohl unmittelbar bei Ausbruch des siebenjährigen Krieges, in den der junge Fürst als preußischer Offizier zog.[1] |
