English: Battle of Ménfő (1044)
Magyar: A ménfői csata. Miniatúra a Képes Krónikában. A lap közepén a szövegtükör egész szélességét elfoglaló miniatúra egyszerű keretben. A ménfői csata: III. Henrik német császár győzelme Aba Sámuel fölött. Középen két kulisszaszerű hegy között folyik a nagy ütközet: jobbról a németek, élükön a császárral, balról a magyar csapat, élén Aba Sámuellel: a csapat egy része – kucsmával a háttérben – Péter király híveként elhagyja őt. Egyik katona kezéből a magyar zászló eltört rúdjával a földre hull, míg a miniatúra keretét áttörve magasan lobog a német sassal díszített győztes zászló. Jobboldalt oltárra helyezett kereszt előtt a császár térdel mezítláb, szűrruhában, és hálát ad a győzelemért. Az előtérben balról Aba király két kezével a földön heverő koronája felé nyúl, miközben egy katona a kardját a király szívébe szúrja
