Nos advirtieron sobre no hospedarnos en las Chungking Mansions, un complejo de torres de departamentos que alberga cientos de hoteles y poco menos de los 2,000 cuartos de hotel más baratos de HongKong. Es un punto de diversidad cultural impresionante, repleto de inmigrantes de todas partes del mundo y ubicado en la zona más céntrica de la ciudad, en la isla de Kowloon. Temido por su mala fama, pero visitada por sus muchos restaurantes de curri y casas de cambio. Por sus pasillos transita gente de todas nacionalidades, en su mayoría indios y africanos, muchos de ellos inmigrantes de estadía ilegal.
