English: City walls, Exeter. This stretch of the walls runs down towards the River Exe from 338469. What is visible at the foot of the wall is not necessarily older than, or the same age as, the wall above, as the ground level has changed and exposed foundations would have been refaced. Some of what remains is Roman. |
