English: Clachan Hill - Trig Pillar S8763 The summit of Clachan Hill at the top of Loch Fyne, Argyllshire. Triangulation pillar with flush levelling bracket S8763 is on top. The pillar which is still in very good condition, was completed on 3rd June 1956 at a cost of £64.1s.8d. The marker was levelled in 1956, computed as a tertiary triangulation station in 1957, and last maintained by the OS in June 1980. Rewarding 360° panoramic view from top. |
