Summary edit

Description
English: Claudia Campagnol (earlier known as Claudia Dancs) was born February 22th 1987 in Budapest, Hungary. She comes from a gypsy family where most of her relatives were and are musicians. She was raised and schooled in Malmö, Sweden and graduated from the Malmö Academy of Music. Soon she met and married the drummer Niclas Campagnol (half swedish, half italian) who already lived in Copenhagen, Denmark, therefore she moved to Denmark.

Claudia was singing before she could talk as a baby and she started to transcribe songs at the age of 4. She knew very early what she wanted to be, even though her parents never really showed her how to sing or play. They never really encouraged her either because every time they wanted to teach her something on the piano, she pushed them away and wanted to learn everything by herself. But she learned many things through her parents... Her mother (Gigi Dancs) was a singer and a pianist in Hungary. She was playing in piano bars for many many years. Gigi played gigs every single night for 8 months of her pregnancy with Claudia inside her belly. Claudias father (Laszlo Dancs) was a classical pianist with great potentials... He won several contests already at the age of 7. His teacher wished to send him to compete in Russia but he was never allowed by his mother. When the three of them moved to Sweden, Laszlo joined a latin american salsa group. They toured a lot and soon discovered that Claudia could sing so she became their singer singing in spanish without understanding the words but pronounced them perfectly.

Claudia also wanted to play the piano and the electric bass but her little brother (Laszlo Dancs) took over the bass and became one of her favorite colleagues. Claudia started to listen to jazz and fusion in her teenage and attended the academy of music at a time where she didn't know wether she would sing jazz or if she'd sing classical. She had a great classical voice and her teacher in high school wished for her to study further in Rome, Italy. Claudia gave up the idea because she felt that she needed to sing improvised music and make art and not recreate already existing art.
