DescriptionClearing the Runway (5583010633).jpg |
On March 22, 2011, IceBridge teams awoke to sunny, clear skies following a storm that had prohibitied non-essential travel from Thule Air Base. Credit: NASA/Jim Yungel Operation IceBridge, now in its third year, makes annual campaigns in the Arctic and Antarctic where science flights monitor glaciers, ice sheets and sea ice. |
