Summary edit

Description
English: Cliffs at Cow Gap The 'slumped' nature of the cliffs here are caused by landslides, water soaks through the permeable chalk and upper greensand before meeting a layer of gault clay which is impermeable. Consequently, the water builds up and looks for a way out through the base of the cliffs causing landslides to occur after a bout of very wet weather. Taken from the beach at low tide roughly at the point where the cliffs at Beachy Head end and turn northwards towards Eastbourne.
