Description
English: In 1919, Hudson Fysh and Paul McGinness saw a need for an aerial mail between the Queensland and Northern Territory railhead towns of Charleville, Longreach, Winton, Cloncurry and Birdum. They established Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited (QANTAS) to operate this route. The original QANTAS hangar in the background is still in use today.
