• Three DJJ₂ power heads were produced. Two in Zhuzhou and one in Datong.
• "China Star" train set contains 2 power heads which are identified as DJJ₂ 0001_A and DJJ₂ 0001_B.
• DJJ₂ power heads are designed by CSR Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute archive copy at the Wayback Machine.
• DJJ₂ 0001_A was made in CSR Zhuzhou Electriv Locomotive CO.,LTD archive copy at the Wayback Machine. It has one golden brand on both side of the hull.
• DJJ₂ 0001_B was made in CNR Datong Electriv Locomotive CO.,LTD archive copy at the Wayback Machine. It has one blue brand on both side of the hull.
• While DJJ₂ 0001_B was scrapped, CSR Zhuzhou Electriv Locomotive CO.,LTD archive copy at the Wayback Machine built the third DJJ₂, but DJJ₂ 0001_B is still kept in "China Star" train set. And third DJJ₂ has never really been exposured to the public.

• DJJ₂ 0001_A由中国南车株洲电力机车有限公司 archive copy at the Wayback Machine生产。车体两侧各有一金色铭牌。
• DJJ₂ 0001_B由中国北车大同电力机车有限公司^{[dead link]}生产。车体两侧各有一蓝色铭牌。
• DJJ₂ 0001_B报废后，中国南车株洲电力机车有限公司 archive copy at the Wayback Machine生产了第三部DJJ₂，但DJJ₂ 0001_B并未被从“中华之星”编组中除去。而这第三部DJJ₂也从未真正出现在公众视野中。
