Magyar: Fogaras vármegye történelmi címere
Fogaras vármegye címere csücskös talpú pajzs, mezejében vízen csónak látható. A csónak jobb oldalán huszárnadrágos, zsinórozott dolmányos magyar katona áll, fején kócsagtollas kucsmát visel, két kezével kardot tart. A csónakban vele szemben buggyos nadrágos, szakállas török ül kabátban, fején turbánnal, jobb kezével babérkoszorút nyújt a határőr felé. A pajzsot nyitott, rubinnal, zafírral és igazgyönggyel kirakott levélkorona díszíti.
Fogaras Vidéke Erdélyben az Olt folyótól délre, a Barcaságtól és Brassótól nyugatra fekszik, területén találhatók a Fogarasi-havasok, Erdély legmagasabb hegysége. Központja, az Olt mellett, a 14. század elején felépített Fogaras vára volt. I. Mátyás a területet királyi birtoknak nyilvánította, később főnemesi családok birtokává vált. Fogarasföld a 16. században liber baronatus, szabad báróság lett, területéhez 64 település tartozott. Lakói nem fizettek országos adót, csak Fogaras várának tartoztak adóval, de katonáskodniuk kellett. 1530 körül Nádasdy (I.) Tamás nádor adományként Fogaras várát és a „Fogarasföld örökös ura” címet nyerte Szapolyai Jánostól. E címet a család tagjai később is használták. Az 1870. évi XLIII. törvénycikk alapján Fogaras vidéke szervezett törvényhatósággá alakult át, amelyből az 1876. évi XXXIII. törvénycikk értelmében Felső-Fehér vármegye néhány településének hozzácsatolásával Fogaras vármegyét alakították meg.

Likewise, the Office will not register a government edict issued by any foreign government or any translation prepared by a government employee acting within the course of his or her official duties."
