Magyar: A Pótsa család címere
A neves család ősi háromszéki családokkal van rokoni kapcsolatban. Vérségi viszonyban állnak a Szentiványiakkal, az ürmösi Maurerekkel, a kézdiszentléleki Kozmákkal, a Szotyoriakkal, a Szörtseiekkel, a lisznyói és killyéni Székelyekkel, a Rápolthyakkal, a csíkszentmártoni Szabókkal, az altorjai Aporokkal stb6.
A Pótsa család nevezetesebb tagjai: Pál ítélőmester, Farkas felső-fehérmegyei jegyző és árvabíró, János őrnagy, Ferenc felső-fehérmegyei alispán, később főbíró, 1848-ban országgyűlési képviselő.
Nemesi kiváltságlevelüket a török elleni csatában szerezték, amint azt címerük is igazolja.
A Pótsa család nemesi címere: egy ezüst, ék alakú sáv által két egyenlőtlen részre osztott kék pajzs. Az alsó kisebb címerrészben piros mezű kar karddal, azon törökfő. A pajzs felső, nagyobb udvarában két szemközt ágaskodó oroszlán, a jobboldali buzogányt tart a bal lábában,a bal oldali kardot fog jobbjában. A pajzs felső jobb sarkában nap-, balról holdarc. A címerpajzs csúcsa megismétli a vezérmotívumot: - piros mezű kar karddal, azon törökfővel.

Official coat of arms and flags, being defined in such a regulation, are thus in the public domain in Hungary, and also in the US, according to § 313.6(C)(2) Compendium of U.S. Copyright Office Practices, 3rd ed. 2014 (Compendium (Third)): "As a matter of longstanding public policy, the U.S. Copyright Office will not register a government edict that has been issued by any state, local, or territorial government, including legislative enactments, judicial decisions, administrative rulings, public ordinances, or similar types of official legal materials. Likewise, the Office will not register a government edict issued by any foreign government or any translation prepared by a government employee acting within the course of his or her official duties."
