English: KODIAK, Alaska - Petty Officer 1st Class Jeffery Steiger, the navigation boatswain's mate for the Coast Guard Cutter Active, from Port Angeles, Wash., currently moored in Kodiak, Alaska, prepares for a law enforcement patrol in the Bering Sea May 31, 2012. The 210-foot cutter Active crew's goal is to safeguard the Bering Sea fishing fleet and conduct fisheries boardings to ensure compliance with U.S. fishing regulations.
