Infante Luis used a plain label. See the source below. The Spanish House of Bourbon had no formal rules for cadency at that time. Royal Family member's arms were created ad-hoc. The Heir Apparent of Spain frequently used the undifferentiated royal arms, with the title's crown.

El Cardenal-Infante Don Luis, Arzobispo de Toledo, hijo de Felipe V, diferencia con un lambel llano de tres pies las armas reales [de su padre el rey Felipe V] y usando sólamente tímbre eclesiástico , acoladas la Cruz de Santiago y rodeado por los Collares de las Órdenes del Toisón de Oro, Espíritu Santo y Carlos III.

[El escudo con atributos eclesiásticos del Cardenal-Infante Luis de Borbón y Farnesio se aparta de la costumbre seguida por el anterior Cardenal-Infante, Fernando de Austria, y por su propio hijo, Luis de Borbón y Vallabriga, de incorporar al timbre la corona de su título. Por esa razón aparecen las armas brisadas con un lambel, costumbre perdida con la llegada de Felipe V ya que los miembros de la Familia Real diferenciaban sus armas sólamente con la corona del timbre y, en algunos casos, con otros adornos exteriores .
