Deutsch: Die Wappendarstellung kennzeichnet die geographische Lage des Gemeindegebietes, das von dem das Stodertal einschließenden, mächtigen Gebirgsmassiv der Spitzmauer, des Priel-Stockes und der Warscheneck-Gruppe geprägt wird. - Die mit einem Kreuz besteckte, gestürzte Mondsichel ist das Wappenbild des ehemaligen Kollegiatstiftes Spital am Pyhrn, das in Hinterstoder seinerzeit als Grundherrschaft bedeutenden Besitz hatte.
