Description

Coats Garage in the LaSalle Street Auto Row Historic District in Aurora (c. 1907). It was the first automobile services building in the district. An elevator could take cars to the second or third floors, each of which could hold over thirty cars. Although the district was once a regional center for automobile activity, this is one of only a few buildings left in the district related to automobiles.
