Rasul Kandahari, the new Commander of the 4th Brigade Afghan National Army (ANA), inspects his soldiers outside his headquarters at Multi National Base Tarin Kot, Afghanistan, Jan. 15, 2013. Kandahari is bolstering links between the army, police and intelligence agency to enhance information sharing, joint planning and operational effectiveness in Uruzgan province. His priority is to increase integration between the three organizational pillars that form the Afghan National Security Forces; the ANA, the Afghan National Police and the National Directorate of Security. Kandahari comes with more than a decade of experience in the ANA and has previously served as a Kandak Commander in Helmand and Brigade Executive Officer in Kandahar.
