Our colleges allhave some sort of gymnasium with a professor of physical educa-tion in charge. This department is generally limited to thegymnasiimi and indoor work, but it is doing a great service forthe student body. In fact, if any person needs proof that suchexercise is necessary, he should attend the compulsory classesor the freshman classes in the college gymnasiums. Then theold adage that clothes make the man will take on a new mean-ing and a great admiration for the modern tailor will arise. Thegreat majority of the boys who enter college need training, andthey need it badly. The parents should see to it that they getinto some sort of athletic work, so that their bodies may be de-veloped with their minds. Parents should also remember thatthe college athlete is especially watched as to his education. Hemust keep up in his work to be allowed to make the team. The
