| Description |
English: Collingbourne Ducis: Former Midland & South Western Junction Railway This is the trackbed of the long dismantled former Midland & South Western Junction Railway (M&SWJR) main line between Andover and Cheltenham via Swindon that closed in 1961. Here it swings round to the right to approach Collingbourne Ducis. The trackbed is now a permissive footpath between Ludgershall and Collingbourne Ducis, the route of which can just be picked out by a slightly darker line in the grass. At this point the railway used to go under a country lane but the bridge has been completely filled in. |
