Description
English: Sonar Technician 1st Class Michael Rees, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Pinckney shoots an M9 pistol during a small-arms qualification at Naval Air Station Point Mugu. Pinckney is at Port Hueneme conducting a combat systems and deck groom preparing for an upcoming board of inspection and survey. INSURV is conducted every five years of a ship's life to ensure mission readiness and material conditions are up to standards.
