Description

Con el izamiento de la bandera en la Plaza de la Ciudadanía, la misma gran bandera que se izó el 2010 para el Bicentenario de la República de Chile, se iniciaron el mediodía de este domingo 3 de julio del 2011 los festejos para celebrar los 200 años del Congreso Nacional. Estuvieron presentes el presidente de la República Sebastián Piñera Echenique, el presidente del Senado Guido Girardi Lavín, y el presidente de la Cámara de Diputados Patricio Melero Abaroa.

Otras autoridades que asistieron a la ceremonia estuvieron el vicepresidente del senado Juan Pablo Letelier, y los senadores Isabel Allende, Baldo Prokurica, Fulvio Rossi, Eugenio Tuma, Andrés Chadwick, Andrés Zaldívar, Hernán Larraín y José García Ruminot.
