| Description |
English: Concrete Foundations, Arnsgill Head. These concrete foundations are a bit of a mystery. Nearby are two adjoining rectangular earthbanks. Whilst the larger one could be prehistoric a comprehensive book I have doesn't list anything. The smaller one has some sort of concrete block in it and the sides have been lined with sand bags filled with concrete. Could be a small reservoir. I suspect the site may have a military origin possibly a decoy station during WW2 of which there are several examples on the North York Moors. |
