English: The film presents a project called Pan African E-Network, brainchild of the former President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, initiated in 2007. The film shows how the establishment of the E-Network has positively impacted development, especially in areas of education and health in a number of countries in Africa and strengthened bilateral relations between India and the African nations. Dr. Kalam talks about the immense scope of the project that will provide tele-education and tele-medicine services to 53 African countries for years to come. The initiative was awarded the 2010 Hermes Prize for Innovation. |
