Description

A retired U.S. Air Force Convair F-106A-110-CO Delta Dart (s/n 59-0043) at the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona (USA), in 2008. 59-0043 was last operated by the 119th Fighter Interceptor Squadron, 177th Fighter Interceptor Group, New Jersey Air National Guard, and retired to the AMARC as FN194 on 1 August 1988. It was convrted to a QF-106 ("AD227") drone but stored again on 4 April 1998 as FN0207.
Right side: "1956-1988 LAST OF THE CENTURY SERIES DELTA DART FOREVER" is written on the aft fuselage. The front features the abbreviations of the Fighter Interceptor Squadrons (FIS) that flew the F-106. "New Jersey Devils" (behind the cockpit).
Left side: "HIGH SPEED RECORD 1525.95 MPH December 15, 1959; "Spirit of Atlantic City" - "177 FIG" (below the cockpit).

"THE ULTIMATE INTERCEPTOR" is written on the drop tanks.
