Notes
  • Significance: The Conveyor structures, along with the Breaker House (HAER No. RI-35-B) and the Transfer Houses (HAER No. RI-35-C) form the yard coal delivery and handling system constructed between 1940 and ca. 1950. The system functioned to provide coal to fire the power plant boilers in the Station (HAER No. RI-35-A). Coal loads were carried by conveyor from the yard coal piles to the main Station. The Conveyors are significant as an integral component of fuel supply for the plant's electrical power generation operations.
