| Description |
English: Crystal structure of cookeite LiAl4(Si3Al)O10(OH)8, space group Cc, projected along the b direction with perspective viewing. Yellow: silicon, orange: aluminum, green: lithium, blue: oxygen, gray: hydrogen. All the octahedra in the layers containing lithium have in fact a mixed occupancy of lithium and aluminum, the green octahedron being the only one with above 50% lithium. The octahedra layer sandwiched by SiO4 tetrahedra contain only aluminum. Data source: Zheng, H. and Bailey, S.W.
