| Description | Northeastern San Mateo Mountains in Cooney Canyon, 33.9050 -107.4268, Socorro County, New Mexico, 9 Mar 2014. Steep north slope along the canyon bottom at the edge of pinyon / juniper forest, with Amaranthus, Dysphania graveolens, Allium cernuum, Achillea millefolium, Amauriopsis dissecta, Artemisia carruthii, Bidens, Solidago wrightii, Boechera fendleri, Polanisia dodecandra, Juniperus monosperma, Quercus gambelii, Fendlera rupicola, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Penstemon barbatus, Bouteloua gracilis, Bromus, Koeleria macrantha, Cheilanthes fendleri, Fallugia paradoxa, Heuchera, etc. Around 10 Heuchera seen, in gravelly soil between two rhyolitic outcrops. |
