Summary edit

Description
English: Wrecked cars rusting at the beach near Great Island Cabins at Core Banks, North Carolina. In 1976, about 1,500 vehicles were removed from the Core Banks by US government after Core Banks were added to Cape Lookout National Seashore. Only a handful cars remain, which were covered by dunes in 1970's [1][2].
