Summary edit

Description Introduced,warm-season, perennial, sparsely to moderately hirsute herb forming clumps up to 1 m tall. Lower leaves are radical, lanceolate to spathulate, with long petiole-like bases, usually entire but occasionally with 2 basal lobes or 1-pinnate; upper cauline leaves are sessile and entire. Heads are solitary or in loose cymes. Ray florets are bright yellow, toothed and ligulate. Disc florets are numerous, yellow and tubular. An invasive garden escape of roadsides, railway lines and disturbed areas.
