English: Built in 1915, this Classical Revival-style building was designed by Oscar Wenderoth to serve as a United States Post Office for Middlesboro, Kentucky. The building features a limestone-clad exterior with a front portico featuring fluted doric columns, double-hung four-over-four windows, large windows at the front portico with roman lattice motif screens, a cornice with modillions, and an architrave with triglyphs. The building is a contributing structure in the Middlesboro Downtown Commercial District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. |
