Summary edit

Description
English: The colorful designs on the 24 glass plaques that are set into this ornamental table cabinet are painted (possibly in the 1730s by Bohemian artist Ignaz Preissler) with scenes copied from the engravings of prominent German illustrator Matthäus Merian. As seen in the "35 Centuries of Glass" gallery during a March 2022 visit to the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York.
