A courtyard of a house, with figures in the foreground. Courtyard in front of buildings, taller to the left, and with pitched roofs. Stairway centrally leads upwards. To right is an open door and a window through which a figure is seen. A ladder leans against a tree to left and a woman is on the ladder picking fruit. Centrally a woman with a child and a third woman stooping to pick up a pot. A broom leaning against a bucket and a wandering hen complete the scene.
