Description
English: Ruins of Corriechatachan, Isle Skye, Scotland. The Gaelic "Corriechatachan" translates into English as "The corry of the cat lairs". It was the seat of the Chief of the MacKinnon Clan during the mid 18th century. It was described by Boswell and Johnson during their travels in the Scottish Highlands during the 18th century as a two story house with a fine library. The house was abandoned by the MacKinnons around 1790 the present structure is incorporated into a sheep fank.
