DescriptionCortez Mill Complex Tier C.jpg |
This is a shot of the Cortez Gold Mine Complex at the Abandoned town of Cortez. (I make note of the complex being at the Abandoned Town of Cortez, as there is a working gold mine in the area called Cortez. I would aproximate it to be 20 or so miles westish) An interesting sidenote here, might be to notice all of the masonry work. Most all of the usful trees in the area were taken down and turned into charcoal to run the smelting ovens, (on C. deck) I included the red dots to make it easier for you to see the different tiers of the abandoned complex. The dots should help put the close up photos into perspective. When the snow clears, I am sure I will be able to find much more here to document with my camera. I very much hope you enjoy the photos. |
