Notes
  • Significance: The Rostrum was dedicated on 2 January 1897. The U.S. Army Office of the Quartermaster General issued this standard design in 1886 and more than 30 rostrums of this style were erected in national cemeteries during the late nineteenth century. Octagonal in plan, the 17'-4" diameter rostrum consists of a raised brick platform, with cast- and wrought-iron stairs, railings, ornament, columns, and roof framing; the roof is clad in tin panels.
