English: Cow Close, Cray The lower slopes of Buckden Pike above the hamlet of Cray. The near horizontal lines of limestone scars stand out well, showing the succession of Yoredale series rocks along the fellside. Higher up one runs into sandstone and the inevitable boggy peat. The most noticeable man made feature are the 19th century drystone walls running up the hillside. |
