| Description |
English: Cracked rock slabs near Moel Ddinas. There are lots of these long flat rock slabs in this area, and all of them have cracks in them. My theory is that the slabs are not connected to any bedrock underneath and are therefore slowly slipping down the hillside. Pressure exerted due to the roughness of the underlying material then causes the cracks. Geologists, please feel free to correct where necessary! |
