English: A map of Israel by Cranach. The map describe events from the bible: The Exodus, Sodom and Gomorrah and Moses on Mount Sinai.
עברית: מפת ארץ ישראל, לוקס כרנך, 1515-1508. העותק היחיד בעולם של מפה זו.
מפה עתיקה של ארץ ישראל שנוצרה על ידי לוקס כרנך בראשית המאה ה-16. מפה זו מתארת את ארץ ישראל וסביבתה הקרובה. המפה אינה מתארת את פני השטח בלבד אלא כוללת איורים רבים של סיפורים תנ"כיים שהתרחשו בנקודות שונות באזור. סיפור יציאת מצרים וההליכה במדבר מתואר בצורה מפורטת, הפיכת סדום ומתן תורה. האיורים המופיעים במפה וכן הפרופורציות של המפה מלמדים אותנו רבות על הסיפורים, ולא פחות מכך על האג'נדה של מחברה . יוצר המפה, לוקס כרנך, חי בגרמניה בתקופת הרנסנס וניסה לשוות לסיפור המקראי ממד מדעי מדויק יותר.
