Description
English: The Crescent Manufacturing Company was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1883 as Larsen Extract Company. By the early twentieth century, Crescent was manufacturing 75 different extracts including Mapleine, as well as importing spices, coffee, and nuts. Crescent was sold to McCormick and Company in 1989, and consolidated its operations in Kent, Washington in 1990.

This poster for Mapleine features a bottle of the extract and a picture of syrup, with the recipe for making syrup with the extract. According to the advertisement, mapleine contains "no maple sugar syrup and no sap but produces a taste similar to maple," and could make quart of syrup for 22 cents.
